The impact of Leeds United’s promotion into the Promised Land of the Premier League will reach much further than football. The city’s whole economy will be a winner.

Much of Manchester’s success in recent years has been credited to its football clubs’ fortunes and now across the Pennines, Leeds is firmly on the map again.

It is estimated that the overall economy of Leeds will have a cash boost of up to £3m per home game, but the wider international attention generated by TV coverage will be much higher.
